The 1980 festival was September, hadn't they changed their name by then? We (NIW) did play the September 1979 Futurama festival so it was likely that one.
I'm Falling, the follow up single to Black Leather, was released Autumn 1980 under the new name. They also made a TV debut on Granada as Dead or Alive performing Flowers around the same time.
Does anyboy remember DoA playing at Rawtenstall College, 1982, supported by The Room?

I saw Nightmares in Wax at Futurama 1982, at Deeside. Not sure about the others.
Hi Penny,

Great stuff. I never saw Dead or Alive but I saw Nightmares In Wax at the 1980 Futurama, and the Bette Midler meets Jim Morrison comparison is apt!
Pete Burns was (and to me still is) fascinating! Thanks for this treat, Penny.
Glad you enjoyed it. He was a real character.
