Please forgive me. I get a bit fan-girly in this one. Because one April night in 1981, I found my new favourite band.

Orange Juice were on a new Scottish indie label, Postcard. It was part of a movement that included Rough Trade in London and, in Liverpool, Zoo, Inevitable and Roger Eagle’s short-lived Crackin’ Up label.
