I was at that gig as well. I loved Rip Rig and Panic, but was also impressed by the support group - an as then unknown group called Frankie Goes to Hollywood. When they finally released a record about a year later, I must admit to being a bit disappointed that it was so over-produced and didn't capture their live energy... but then what do I know - they had three consecutive number ones!
