Thank you for sharing your review. I saw them on this tour (different venue). Your writing has brought back so many treasured memories - spotting Budgie at the back of the hall watching the support band, then Siouxsie on stage, dressed in red. The lights, the atmosphere, and of course the music. What a great band.

Who was the support band? I don't remember.

I couldn’t remember either, but did a bit of internet digging and it seems the support was a band called Scientists.

Thanks! Just googled and apparently they are back (or they were 2 years ago anyway). https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/feb/10/the-scientists-are-back-old-bands-doing-new-stuff-is-kind-of-fraught

Siouxsie Siou was the greatest of the female punkers - badass all the way. Saw her/them at a club in LA Chinatown. Great show!

Lovely stuff. My first trip down London was partially to buy the Banshees bootleg, which was actually Peel sessions on vinyl and cost a packet. But still!

One of a kind voice. I saw her w/the Banshees as well as The Creatures. Long time fan. She is remarkably beautiful as well.

Goodness, this takes me back! I used to love Siouxsie and the Banshees. We lived in Tunbridge Wells at the time -- I had a friend who adored her, and I often wonder what happened to her. My friend, I mean, not Siouxsie. Never got to see them perform, sadly.

I love SATB. Thank you. Wish I’d seen them more and a bit sad I missed the come back last year.

I had forgotten this track, Penny – loved Siouxsie and the way she transported us into another world. I like your description "they tread the line, like a church service, between bliss and boredom". And yes, that is an unexpectedly funky backing!
